What a 32.9% unemployment rate means for you.

Statistics South Africa released the Q3 2022 Labour Force Survey and the results were encouraging. 204 000 jobs were added in the third quarter lowering the unemployment rate in South Africa to 32.9% from 33.9%. More encouraging was the decrease of discouraged job seekers by 54 000.

SABC News spent some time at our office talking to Ashleigh van der Westhuizen about the unemployment rate and some tips for jobseeker.
